What should I do about my allergy/sinus problems?
I’m always sneezing. My nose is runny sometimes. My eyes are watery and itchy. I’m just wondering what’s the best allergy medication to try without having to go see a doctor about it first.
Zyrtec or Aller-Tec works pretty well for me.
Do salt lamps actually work for allergy/sinus problems? personal experience please!?
does it help when you have a bad cold/sinus problems
Generally there are possibly 2 types of causes for Asthma problem, internally or externally. Crystal Salt only release long negative ion which in turn clean the air around you. If your issues are mainly triggered by dirty air, then Crystal Salt can help you. But if it is your own body function that cause the issue ie. too weak, too sensitive, hormone etc. then Crystal Salt can help less.
While the negative ion is scientific and will help everyone the same way, another property of the lamp is Color Therapy. That on the other hand will only work for about 60% of the people in statistic. This is due to wrong initial diagnostic and dynamic of human nature.
That is why you will hear some works magically for some people while some really curse on it. In short and summary, it may or may not work on you personally. Only after getting one then you will know.
On the color therapy part, changing different lamps may help until you find one that suits you. But on the ionizing or air cleaning part, even the worse salt lamp is about 96% pure ( content of salt in it ) so almost all lamps will work almost in similar power.
Can you consume alcohol after taking sinus and allergy pills that contain sudafedrin and antihistimines?
My friend is sick/has been sick for a little while. He bought a generic brand of sinus and allergy medication today (probably something like Actifed), which means active ingredients include sudafedrin and antihistimines. A bunch of us are going out tonight and wanted to know if he can drink while being on that medication. Any advice?
I would suggest looking at the medicine and see what the warnings are.
Are Benadryl Allergy Sinus Headache Caplets & Gellcaps ok while pregnant?
I know regular Benadryl is, but is this kind? It’s all I have and I can’t breathe. My allergies are going crazy.
Try turning your shower on hot and close the door – let the room get steamy and sit in there for a 15 minutes or so, it will help clear things out.
I use this when my 18 month old has a cold and works wonders – I use it alot myself too
Are Sinus/Breathing/Allergy problems on the rise?
I have noticed there are more people with sinus and breathing conditions than ever or has there always been this big of a problem?! More toxins in the air we breath or is this because of the pharmaceutical companies & lobbyists pumping commercials and bonuses to doctors?
What is your take on this?
(Btw…I am so sick of the commercials too!)
Realizing that polution in our air and free radicals may be a factor I contribute most of our condition on the so-called "Health" Industry. Most of our population have proven to be lemmings unfortunately and that’s why we are being saturated so much with commercials making a huge percentage of our viewing audience into virtual hypochondriacs! It has proven successful for the pill pushers! :
"There are only two countries in the industrialized world that permit this sort of direct-to-consumer (DTC) advertising of prescription drugs: The United States and New Zealand. The European Union expressly forbids this kind of promotion.
The media lobby worked hard to convince Congressmen that drug ads provide valuable information for consumers. They also portrayed commercials on TV as a free speech issue. Under such lobbying pressure, legislators caved.
One reason the pharmaceutical industry keeps spending so much on advertising to consumers is that it works. People who see ads for Vytorin to lower cholesterol, Lunesta to counter insomnia and Boniva to build bones often ask their doctors for a prescription. Consumers seemingly ignore the list of potentially serious side effects that are often read quickly while the onscreen picture shows someone having fun. Warnings about drug-induced complications such as severe heartburn, cataracts, glaucoma, osteoporosis, hemorrhage or even heart attack don’t seem to faze viewers…"
It’s sad that we all just chew our cud and watch the reduction of our humanity to mere consumers.
